My blog site is not intended to be about the newest, the latest or the most expensive watches, as there are many sites featuring just that. Rather this site was and still is to a certain extent about watches I collect and range price-wise from low to mid range, with the odd expensive one thrown in plus some vintage models. But many will be watches I own or have owned and more importantly – wear.
But as with everything, things change and my collection certainly does and is only so big – around 130 today, so I quite often feature and comment on watches or watch subjects of interest to me, where I want to express what honestly is a truly unbiased and personal opinion – no vested interests with or to watch trade, manufacturer or media.
Under “Tech info” (on side menu) – you’ll find some technical bits and pieces I’ve found useful at times – from watch hands to Serial Numbers and Instructions, battery cross reference charts and so on. I hasten to add that all the information, links and so on are copyright of the originators and where known I make reference to that fact (if you or any originator has trouble with this – please let me know). All data shown is available on public pages and web sites as far as I am aware.
I’ve since added various “watch links” to sites of interest, from Upmarket and “What’s New”, to Retro and Vintage, PLUS links to practical aspects such as Straps and accessories.
Additionally over this last year I’ve seen an increase in viewers when featuring stuff I can’t afford! – models and subjects that were never my intention when I started – but as these appear to be well received and fun – no problem! I can do more of that . . . . . . 😉
I’ve also expanded the site to include Auction News, Bargain basement, Elegant watch archive, Art (watches) video embedded links, Commentary, Soapbox plus Watch of the week, so I’ll add to them as and when I have the time and hopefully there should be enough content for everyone to find something of interest (if any of the links fail to work please let me know and I’ll either update them or delete them).
A very warm welcome to WatchSpace.
Note 1– my web site be reached in two ways – either watchspace.wordpress.com OR http://www.watchspace.co.uk – take your pick.
Note 2 – I can also be contacted either by using the “comments” box or personally by email at firstname.lastname@example.org
Important NOTE – Do not confuse my web site with watch-space.co.uk (note the hyphen – dash between watch and space) – I understand this is or perhaps was, a commercial site of some kind and whilst it may have disappeared, it might still feature on Google search.
